Learning a second language helps to improve young people’s motivation, build their self-esteem and become more effective learners. It is proven that children who are exposed to a second language show an improvement in their mother-tongue skills and demonstrate a better understanding of grammar and language structure.

Our belief is that children learn most effectively when they are in an inclusive environment with activities that are appropriate to their stage of development. Children become confident and independent second language learners and are given support to comprehend the vocabulary they are learning rather than simply ‘repeating’ without understanding. Our results speak for themselves…

“The children were highly motivated and engaged within her lessons and looked forward to them each week.”
Staff of Bishop Ian Ramsey

“Thank you so much for your inspirational work over the past year. You have made Spanish come alive in New Silksworth Junior School. With your pleasant demeanour and professionalism you have been a valued member of our team. It is important to introduce children to a foreign language at an early age to prepare them for senior school and the children at our school have been given a great start.”
M. Davies, Acting Head, New Silksworth Junior School
